Art Anderson Associates has added Captain Christopher Muglia, an expert in business development and maritime transportation, to its team of water transportation planners, naval architects and marine engineers. Muglia will lead company efforts to develop new marine-related ventures and provide support for existing contracts and business development.

Previously he was a principal and co-founder of Portland Capital, Inc., which undertook a range of maritime advisory activities and investments, including the development and funding of an intra-island ferry system in the Caribbean. Prior to that venture, Muglia worked as the director of New Ventures for Modern Continental Companies in Boston and as founder and director of the Transport Internet Association in Stamford, Conn.

Muglia is also a Licensed master mariner, having served in the Merchant Marine fleet since the age of fifteen.
