As a result of the Kitsap County Board of Commissioner’s unanimous vote at its last meeting of 2003, Patty Lent will serve as the 2004 chair of the board. Her first meeting as chair will take place on Jan 5.

She succeeds Commissioner Jan Angel who served as chair in 2003 after being denied the chair in what many felt was a politically-motivated 2-to-1 vote of Commissioner Chris Endresen and former Commissioner Tim Botkin.

Both Angel and Endresen are up for re-election in 2004.
