South Seattle Community College announced that Kitsap resident Dan Hagen, a computing technology instructor, has been awarded a fellowship by the Institute of Technology at the University of Washington, Tacoma for the fall 2003.

Hagan was one of six successful candidates chosen from 15 partner community and technical colleges.

As a part of the Institute of Technology Fellowship program, Hagen will assist institute faculty in teaching a course in object-oriented programming, be invited to take for credit or audit institute courses; be provided with shared office space, library privileges, access to computers and computer labs; and be invited to participate in institute faculty/staff meetings and events for the 2003 - 2004 academic year.
