Diane P. Webber, former Director of Operations for the Kitsap Humane Society, has accepted the position of Midwest Regional Director for the Humane Society of the United States in Des Moines, Iowa. She will be responsible for providing education, information, resources and support services to animal welfare organizations in a five-state region.

Webber has been involved in animal welfare issues in the Kitsap community since 1998 and has served five terms as President of the Washington State Federation of Animal Care and Control Agencies.

Prior to her work in Kitsap County, she served as Executive Director for animal welfare agencies in Eastern Washington and in Colorado.
