In addition to chairing the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners, South Kitsap Commissioner Jan Angel will also chair the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council, (KRCC) and the CENCOM Policy and Emergency Management Boards in 2003.

Other officials elected to leadership positions include Bremerton City Councilmember Carol Arends, who will chair the Kitsap County Board of Health and serve as both vice-chair of the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council and vice chair of the Kitsap County Emergency Management Board.

Commissioner-elect Patty Lent will back Arends as vice-chair of the Kitsap Board of Health. Lent will also serve as vice-chair on the Kitsap Transit Board, while Bremerton Councilmember Will Maupin will chair the group. Fire district representative, Dusty Wiley of South Kitsap, is to be vice chair for the CENCOM Policy Board.
