Tacoma-based Bratrud Middleton Insurance has appointed Michael J. Ferreira, CPCU, as its sales manager.

Gig Harbor resident Ferreira has worked in the insurance industry since 1990. He joined Bratrud’s Tacoma office in 1996 as commercial manager and marketing manager and in 1997 was named vice president. In 2000 he was appointed to the company’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Bratrud, Ferreira worked for Safeco Insurance Company in Redmond as a claims adjuster and a commercial underwriter. His areas of expertise include senior living/retirement communities, construction, manufacturing, workers’ compensation, and professional liability.

Ferreira is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound with a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration. He also earned the professional insurance designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
