Robert “Robby” Gherna was named most valuable employee for 2001 at KPS Health Plans in Bremerton. Gherna is a member of the General Services Department providing facility and grounds maintenance as well as mailroom and printing services.

The Bremerton native graduated from Bremerton High School in 1987 and has been with KPS since 1998.

Elizabeth Gilje, president of KPS, said Gherna was selected by his fellow staff members. “He is an exemplary and valuable member of our team, and he saved the company thousands of dollars by taking the initiative in building repairs. He always exceeds our expectations,” Gilje said.
