L-R Eric Von Marbod congratulates Hixson Award winner Steve Horn

Steve Horn, staff member at Wet Apple Communications, parent company of the Kitsap Business Journal, has been awarded the prestigious George F. Hixson Fellowship Award.

Horn, who is the Immediate Past President and current Board member of the South Kitsap Breakfast Kiwanis Club, was presented with the award by current President Eric von Marbod.

The George F. Hixson Fellowship Award was created in 1983 to honor the first Kiwanis International President. It is presented to those members of Kiwanis International who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and have strived to serve their fellow human beings to the utmost extent of their abilities.
