Bremerton Mayor Cary Bozeman has tapped Walt Draper to replace Barry Cook as the City of Bremerton representative on the Public Facilities District.

Draper is the Director of Finance and Operations for the Bremerton School District and has years of experience in capital projects and public finance, both in the Navy and the school district. He has a master’s degree in business administration, finance and systems analysis.

The PFD recently awarded the City of Bremerton 6.9 million dollars to develop a conference center and parking facility on its waterfront. A private company will also build a hotel adjacent to the Conference Center. The Kitsap County Parks & Recreation Department was also awarded 4.5 million for expansion and upgrades to the Fairgrounds Complex. Each project must break ground by January 2003.
