Hoquiam-based Timberland Bank, which operates a branch in Poulsbo and will soon open another in Silverdale, has announced that Jean Charneski has joined the bank as an assistant vice president and commercial loan officer.

Charneski, who has over 16 years of banking experience, will work from the Poulsbo branch. She most recently worked in small business banking in Pierce County, but has previously served with Key Bank in East Bremerton and the SBA at Kitsap Bank.

A Bremerton resident, she earned an MBA in finance from the University of California at Berkley and has an under-graduate degree in history. She is a member of East Bremerton Rotary and serves on the board of directors of Holly Ridge Center.
