Allvest Work Release, LLC, the contractor for the state-owned Peninsula Work Release center in Port Orchard, recently presented awards to several employees.

Shift Supervisor Mark Frey was named Employee of the Year for his “firm, fair and consistent” policy, team spirit, and attention to detail. Cook Ric Puno was recognized as Honorable Mention for his culinary expertise, dedication and reliability.

The Heart of Gold Award was presented to Shift Supervisor Kathleen Ottarson. The 1998 Employee of the Year, she was recognized for her diligence in improving the quality of life and opportunities for offenders, giving them a better chance for success and staying out of the criminal justice system.
