The engineering firm of Parametrix recently announced two new staff additions at its Bremerton office.
Neil Bass, P.E., has signed on as Water/Wastewater Division Manager and Tina Nelson, P.E., as Transportation Division Manager. The pair will be responsible for both project execution and business development on the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas.
Bass brings over 25 years of experience in public works civil and structural engineering, project management, environmental planning, permitting and regulatory agency coordination to the firm. Within the past eight years, he held three critical positions at the Navys Engineering Field Activity Northwest design and construction office. He served as Director for Environmental Planning and Natural Resources, Director for Planning and Construction Support, and the Project Manager for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard sediment cleanup, navigational dredging and aircraft carrier pier design development and environmental permitting.
Bass has held civil engineering and public works management positions in other Puget Sound Navy installations as well.
Nelson has over 10 years experience as design engineer, and projects/construction manager. She served most recently with the City of Tacomas Public Works Department where as the Contract Administrator, she was responsible for managing City contracts for the construction of municipal facilities. Additionally, Nelson served as the Assistant Construction Manager responsible for the review and approval of facilities such as road, storm and sanitary sewers, telecommunications, built within the City right-of-way.
Nelsons experience also includes years of involvement with the design of transportation related projects, from the funding/estimate stage to delivery of plans and specifications for construction. Nelson enjoys extensive involvement in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Public Works Association. |
