| John Armstrong has been elected vice president of the Washington Public Utility Districts (PUD) Association.
The group represents 28 PUDs that provide energy and water service to over 1.5 million consumers in the state. The association is active in state and federal legislative processes, and promotes information-sharing and cooperative action among member PUDs.
Armstrong, a retired professional engineer and architect who worked for the Navy and for a variety of architecture firms on the East Coast, in California and in Washington, has served as a Kitsap County PUD commissioner since 1992. Since retiring he has held leadership positions with the Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union, the Kitsap Regional Economic Development Council, the Puget Sound Naval Bases Association, Olympia Peninsula Enterprises Inc. and the Washington PUD Association. |
