Silverdale resident Naomi Pursel was elected to chair the Olympic College (OC) Board of Trustees for the next year. Former state representative Douglas Sayan of Shelton was elected vice chair.
Now retired, Pursel, who has served as an OC trustee since 1996, is the former president and CEO of Pacific Western Services. Active in the National Contract Management Association, she has also worked locally to promote small business enterprise as a member of the Economic Development Council.
Sayan was appointed to Board of Trustees in 1998. He retired as executive director of the Washington State Higher Education Personnel Board. His career includes teaching, counseling, and administration in Seattle Public Schools and as a corporate training administrator with the Boeing Company.
He represented the 35th District in the House of Representatives from 1983 to 1991. |
