Earle Smith, the former executive director of the Kitsap County Economic Development Council (EDC), has been named to the Poulsbo Planning Commission.

He replaces Glenn Wonders who resigned from the advisory board after serving for over eight years.

Prior to his 10 year stint running the EDC, Smith served as Commanding Officer of the Trident Submarine Base at Bangor.

Wonders was part of Poulsbo’s effort in the early 90’s to rewrite its Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance, as well as the normal duties of the Commission. He also served as vice chair of the Board.
