Olympic College Counseling faculty member Denise D. Milander was recently awarded certification by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Certification required passing an examination that covers eight standard and five work behavior areas of counseling. The National Board for Certified Counselors and Affiliates of Greensboro, N.C., promotes quality professional counseling through licensing to active and successful counseling practitioners.
Milander is a certified mental health counselor in Washington State. She holds an A.A.S. from Olympic College, a B.A. from Western Washington University, and a M.Ed from the University of Puget Sound. |
