Susan Segler, Kitsap Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Coordinator at Olympic College, recently completed the Washington Business Development Certification Program.

The goal of the certification program is to create a common body of knowledge among a diverse group of professionals enabling business owners to have access to high-quality business counseling throughout the SBDC network.

Segler’s certification included training in a wide range of areas, including government regulations, marketing, financial statement analysis, human resource issues, and financing sources.

The SBDC offers a wealth of resources including free, confidential business consultation, small business workshops and seminars, market research information, assistance with business plan development, and referrals to other business assistance providers.
