Peninsula Work Release recognizes Gilbert |
Matthew Gilbert of Peninsula Work Release was recognized recently as the facilitys employee of the quarter.
Hired in January 2005 as an on-call, he was promoted to full-time in June due to his attention to detail, enthusiasm, high energy, positive attitude, and humor.
Gilbert has already completed his first cycle of mandated trainings, and is attending Work Release Academy.

Stecker joins Poulsbo branch of Viking Bank |
KristiAnn Stecker has joined Viking Banks Poulsbo branch as a Mortgage Loan Consultant.
Stecker comes to Viking Bank from the Bainbridge Island branch of Washington Mutual, where she served as sssistant branch manager, overseeing lending and operations.

BPA names new director,
two new board members |
Christopher Shainin has been appointed as Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) new managing director. Commencing his role at the start of the New Year, Shainin launched a rigorous quest to digest the organizations 49 year history and he looks forward to fulfilling BPAs commitment to present excellent programs as well as maintaining BPAs position as a leader for community involvement and education in the arts.
BPAs board of directors also recently announced the addition of Lynn Nordby, Laurie Bauman Arnold, and Suzanne Merriman as new members.
The community leaders comprising BPAs Board serving as liaisons between BPA and the community, they are responsible for hiring the managing director, approving the annual budget, and setting the long-range vision.

Kahn to lead statewide wholesalers association |
At its recent annual membership meeting, the members of the Washington Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association elected Bremerton native Lance Kahn to a two-year term as president of the association.
Kahn is president of Jennings Distributing in Bremerton, a division of Marine View Beverage.

New board members by Group Health for KPS |
Bremerton-based KPS Health Plans, which was acquired by Group Health earlier this year, recently named a new board of directors.
Heading the board will be Chairman Jim Truess, Executive Vice President and CFO for Group Health. Three Kitsap County residents, Carl Cramer, owner of Farrell's Home Health, and Drs. Gordon Cromwell and R. Barney Voegtlen will continue as members of the new KPS Board, after serving on the interim advisory board.
Completing the board will be: Vice Chair Maureen McLaughlin and directors Scott Armstrong, Jerry Campbell, Janet Liang and David Miller, M.D.
Elizabeth Gilje will continue as president and CEO of KPS.

Harrison Medical Center executive Marla G. Brady is Kitsap Credit Union's newest board member. She was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the Credit Union's nine member Board of Directors.
Brady began her Credit Union service in 1997 as an associate director on the Kitsap Financial Services Board and later served as its chair from 2003 to 2005.

Venture Financial Group, Inc., parent company of Venture Bank, which has a branch in Gig Harbor, announced that Sandra L. Sager has been hired as executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer of Venture Financial Group and Venture Bank.
Sager was formerly the senior vice president and CFO of Columbia Trust Bank in Pasco. She brings more than 22 years of banking, financial and accounting experience with her. Sager is a graduate of Central Washington University, with a degree in Business Administration. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Poulsbo-based Steelhead Productions recently announced two new appointments to its sales and marketing team. Meg Hall and Dawn Dillon will lead Steelhead's new business growth in the Pacific Northwest. They will report to Sean C. Combs, vice president.
Hall joined the company in 2004, and was previously a product manager in the healthcare manufacturing industry. Dillon joined Steelhead in 2003. Her previous experience was in sales and project management in the tourism and promotional marketing industries. Both hold a BA in International Business.

Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI) recently announced it has added two new staff members to serve on its administrative team.
Susan Perkins was selected to take the operations manager position. She brings 14 years of experience in the medical field to this position.
Also new to the staff is Susan Philips as marketing manager. She was previously with Harrison Hospital Foundation for the past 13 years, serving as special events coordinator.

Peoples Bank promotes

Peoples Bank recently announced that it has promoted Barbara Wight to manager of the bank's Silverdale branch.
Wight joined Peoples Bank in 2004 with over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 10 years in mortgage lending. She is perhaps most well-known for the many years she spent with First National Bank of Port Orchard, which later became Pacific Northwest Bank before being sold to Wells Fargo.
Most recently, she was assistant branch manager of the bank's Silverdale branch. In her new position, she will manage branch operations and continue to originate real estate loans.

Parce joins Kitsap Bank |
Kitsap Bank welcomed Kirk Parce as vice president/commercial loan officer at its Bonney Lake branch. A 22-year banking veteran, Parce comes to Kitsap Bank from Mount Rainier National Bank of Enumclaw, where he served as vice president and lead commercial loan officer.
Parce has a degree in business administration from Pacific Lutheran University and has attended Pacific Coast Banking School for the past three years. He is very involved in the community and an active member of the Enumclaw Rotary Club and Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce.
