Liberty Banks names Uhlig as new COO
Liberty Bank of Washington, a bank in organization headquartered out of Poulsbo, has hired Paul A. Uhlig to serve as Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer.

Uhlig joins the financial start-up with a background in bank and operation management. Over the past 10 years, he has held management positions for local branches of Wells Fargo, Key, and American Marine banks.

As part of his new position, he will oversee day-to-day operations and drive new programs and customer initiatives. Liberty Bank expects to open its first branch later this spring in Poulsbo.

Liberty Bank is currently recruiting shareholders. The founders of Liberty Bank — all successful Kitsap County business professionals — are looking to raise $12 million from approximately 350 shareholders for this business-focused commercial bank.
