| On Dec. 6, 2005, the membership of Olympic Community Federal Credit Union of Port Townsend voted to merge with Peninsula Credit Union headquartered in Shelton. This followed the recommendation of its Board as well as considerable due diligence and research by both parties.
Both credit union boards are very positive about the opportunity to provide expanded services to existing and new members in the area. Port Townsend members will benefit from expanded services and will enjoy expanded branch access with the existing locations of Shelton, Belfair and Port Orchard, in addition to a new branch in Poulsbo opening March.
Staffing and hours of operation will remain the same with the largest changes coming by way of expanded services and larger resources. Peninsula Credit Union is excited to have the opportunity to add to its growing membership and regional presence on the Olympic Peninsula. |
