Lunchtime workshop on
money management savvy

Whatever your financial goals may be, everyone needs a plan in order to achieve them. According to Steve Olson, a Certified Financial Planner with Eagle Strategies Corp., people should build their financial plan from a macro perspective. That means looking at the financial profile as a whole and developing an overall, long term strategy that coordinates things like retirement accounts, mutual funds, or insurance to fulfill a specific objective or manage a certain risk.

Olson will teach some macro-level strategies to help people make more effective money management decisions during a lunchtime workshop on Oct. 28 from noon to 1 at Productivity Resources, 3100 Bucklin Hill Rd, Suite 223, Silverdale. Cost is $10, and lunch is included.

The workshop will help provide a solid foundation for proper long-term tax planning as well as present some creative ideas to get your money working harder without increasing risk. Additional areas of discussion include asset allocation and maximizing the benefits of retirement plans and home mortgages.

Olson, a financial services professional for more than 15 years is a Certified Financial Planner and co-Editor of Financial News Digest, a nationally distributed publication for effective money management.
