Kitsap Bank to open second branch
in Gig Harbor

Kitsap Bank, Commodore Sponsor of Maritime Gig, has announced its intention to open a second Gig Harbor location at 7109 Pioneer Way.

President and CEO Jim Carmichael said, “We were quite fortunate to acquire an office previously operated by Pacific Northwest Bank. That bank has been purchased by Wells Fargo and will close. We are looking forward to adding an additional location in Gig Harbor. Kitsap Bank provides a clear alternative to customers who are tired of seeing their banks sold or moved. We have been around for over 95 years, and we will be here in the future.”

Kitsap Bank will take possession of the building on May 1, and expects to be up and running soon thereafter. According to Gig Harbor native and Executive Vice President/CFO Tony George, “Our goal is to offer great service and a wealth of experience to Gig Harbor businesses and residents, all the while providing the stability of a locally owned and operated community bank. With proximity to downtown and the freeway, this branch will provide an excellent additional location to serve Peninsula residents.”.
