McCormick elected VP of state Financial League

Karen L. McCormick, president and chief executive officer of First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Port Angeles, has been elected vice chair of the Washington Financial League, a trade association representing all savings and loan associations and savings banks with offices within the state, as well as several community banks.

McCormick has also been elected chair of the board of directors of Washington Financial League’s subsidiary corporation, WFL Services. Her terms run from July 2003 through June 2004.

McCormick began her career at First Federal Savings & Loan Association as a teller in 1977. Over the past 26 years she has held numerous positions at the institution, including branch manager, compliance officer, and director of lending, and in 1997 she was named president and chief executive officer.
