Bainbridge Island resident Jeff Pritchard has earned a Wells Fargo Volunteer Service Award for his efforts with Helmets for Youth. A $1,000 grant will be made to Helmets for Youth in his name.
Pritchard, who is a regional Institutional Trust sales manager for Wells Fargo in Seattle, founded Helmets for Youth in 1993, after he was involved in a bicycle accident. The fact that he was wearing a helmet saved his life.
Since then, his organization has distributed nearly 10,000 free helmets to low-income children in the Seattle area. Today, Pritchard partners with local police and fire departments to provide protective headgear for young riders.
Pritchard is one of 111 Wells Fargo team members nationwide who received a Volunteer Service Award this year. In total, $250,000 will be awarded to winners organizations. |
