Accounting firm offers Quickbooks
classes, business seminars
The Port Orchard accounting firm of Southard, Beckham, Atwater and Berry recently completed a remodel of the building next to its offices that formerly housed the Green Valley Restaurant. The firm will use the facility for client training, including classes in the popular Intuit Quickbooks software, which is used by many small businesses.

“We are really excited about this new opportunity to provide business owners with what we call ‘Businesses Getting Results’ or BGR’s for short,” said Arlene Berry, a partner in the firm.

Once a month, local business owners will get together for two hours to discuss a variety of business issues, including hiring and retaining good employees, team commitment, cash flow management, effective marketing, and profit growth.

The firm will hold two separate “kick off” promotional sessions on March 26 called “Perceived Indifference - Are You Suffering From It?” Business owners and key management staffers are encouraged to attend. Admission to the introductory seminar is free. Berry noted that with seating limited to 20, if there is enough response, the firm will add one or two more seminars on March 27.

Interested participants can then sign on for a one-year commitment with the goal of growing their business.

Berry added that the monthly meetings will be restricted to a maximum of 15 participants, for maximum interaction.
