| According to the US Small Business Administration’s (SBA) September 30, 2001 fiscal year end report, Port Orchard-based Kitsap Bank has been ranked among the top 100 SBA Lenders in the nation It is also Washington State’s number one ranked community bank for SBA dollar approvals.
The report also names Kitsap Bank as the only lender in the state that did not see a decrease in the number of SBA approved loans over the past six years, advancing over $14 million in SBA loan proceeds. This is the first time that Kitsap Bank has achieved this level of activity.
Kitsap Bank is the only bank in Kitsap County with a department dedicated solely to providing SBA loans. Scott Harvey is the vice president of the SBA department and oversees it’s $30 million portfolio.
