| In an effort to aid Americans directly impacted by the Sept. 11 attack on the United States, the financial services firm of Edward Jones, has announced a $1 million donation to aid the victims of the tragedy.
According to spokesman David Ormerod, the firm has designated $500,000 to go the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and $500,000 to the United Way’s September 11th Fund.
Additionally, through December 31, 2001, the firm is matching every dollar donated by Edward Jones associates to these funds or to an accredited disaster relief organization that is working to aid the victims.
“In the aftermath of such an unspeakable tragedy, we all look for ways to help the healing process begin,” Ormerod said. |
