| The time to recognize local companies for their leadership and commitment to healthier workplaces, families and communities has come according to Mary Ellen de la Peña, prevention services coordinator for Kitsap County .
The 2000 West Sound Work/Life Partnership Award acknowledges organizations that use creative and effective ways to help employees improve their work performance by resolving the often conflicting demands of work and family. Awards will be presented by the Family Friendly/Drug Free Workplace Project and the West Sound Human Resource Management Association at a Celebration Luncheon to be held on Dec. 13.
