Baby CEOs bounce from job to job
It seems that young CEOs lack the stamina of their older counterparts.
Although younger chief executives have gained more acceptance in recent years, they vacate their posts more quickly and more frequently than their senior contemporaries according to a survey by outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

“Companies that recently named CEOs in their 40s should not get too attached,” said John Challenger, CEO of Challenger, Gray & Christmas. “The odds are strong that he or she will not be around long.”

Chief executive officers in their 40s were six times more likely to resign than CEOs in their 60s, according to the survey, which was conducted among 150 CEOs from August 1999 to June 2000.
