| Well known Port Orchard attorney Frank Abram Shiers, Sr., 79, passed away on July 23 in a Seattle hospital.
He was born Oct. 23, 1920 in Marlboro, Mass. and served in the U.S. Navy During World War II, from 1942 to 1945. He was married on March 27 1954 in Tacoma.
Shiers worked for the past 51 years as an attorney, heading the Port Orchard law firm of Shiers, Chrey, Cox, Caulkins, DiGiovanni and Zak.
He was a member of the Bremerton Elks BPOE #1181 and the Navy League.
He is survived by a son, Frank Shiers, Jr. of Bellevue, a daughter Jane Marie Bryce of Kennewick, and a grandson.
A memorial service was held July 28 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. and an interment took place at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton.
