Countrywide Home Loans opens local office
   Countrywide Home Loans, Inc., one of the largest residential finance providers in the world, has opened a local office at 620 Park Ave, in Bremerton.

Venture Financial Group pays cash dividend
   Venture Financial Group, Inc., parent company of Venture Bank, announced that on Jan. 21, the Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $.07 per share payable Feb. 13, to all shareholders of record as of Feb. 2. The declared dividend marks the twentieth consecutive quarterly dividend to be paid.

Kitsap Bank achieves record growthin 95th year
   Kitsap Bank’s average assets increased $38 million in 2003, which was a record growth year for the local bank. The net profit was $9.6 million. The return on assets was 1.92 percent and the return on equity was 18.5 percent.
   Commercial loans increased $33 million for the year and $100 million over the past three years. Total loans reached $400 million. In addition, the Bank closed $238 million in residential mortgage loans during the year, which was a record.
   Total assets of the Bank reached $512 million in the Bank’s 95th year.
