The Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking bids for the second phase of an Interstate-90 construction project.
The state agency said the contract is for a major overhaul of I-90 just east of Snoqualmie Pass. Bids are expected to be in the range of $100 million to $150 million.
The project is set to break ground in spring 2010 and will generate roughly 1,500 jobs over the next three years, according to the department.
Crews from KLB Construction Inc. of Mukilteo have completed the first phase, which was to build a bridge over Gold Creek that will be used next year to detour traffic around the construction area.
