BGI’s Pinchot awarded honorary degree
Bainbridge Graduate Institute’s (BGI) President Gifford Pinchot III was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by the University of Puget Sound at its commencement ceremonies. Pinchot delivered the address for the University’s 116th commencement on May 18, at Baker Stadium.

University of Puget Sound President Ronald Thomas described Pinchot as an “inventor, author, innovator, educator, who is painting the world of business green. Founder of our nation’s first green business school in 2002, you (Pinchot) have raised the bottom line for corporations everywhere and raised expectations for all of us.”

Thomas said Pinchot was awarded the honorary degree, “For your courageous innovation, for your pioneering spirit, and for your commitment to a future that is economically robust and environmentally sustainable for generations to come.”
