After encountering several mortgage fraud victims whose financial situations left them unable to afford legal counsel, Port Orchard attorney Richard D. Seward has launched a public service blog to help victims of mortgage fraud understand their rights, entitled “Foreclosure Victims Hotline.” It can be found at this link.
Seward hopes this blog will also provide emotional healing through the sharing process as well as prevent others from being victimized, bring scrutiny upon perpetrators and facilitate restitution for victims. He also has plans to launch an additional blog site focused on business law for small businesses.
While Seward cautions that he cannot use the blog site to dispense legal advice, he can use it to empower visitors to make informed choices. Additionally, he can link the blog to his Web site, www.richardseward.com, offering additional information to people considering retaining a law firm or just seeking self-help guidance. |
