KEDA elects 2008 board of directors
The Kitsap Economic Development Alliance (KEDA) recently announced the election of its board of directors, approved by unanimous vote of the membership at its March 28 annual meeting.

Jim Carmichael, president and CEO of Kitsap Bank, was elected chairman of the board; Elliot Gregg, president and CEO of Kitsap Credit Union, was elected vice chairman; and Tom Kruse, vice president, strategy and business development of Harrison Medical Center, was elected treasurer.

Two newly elected individuals join the KEDA Board of Directors; Paul Pazooki, president of Pazco, Inc. was elected to serve a one year term, and Linda Brown, CEO of the Doctors Clinic will serve a term of three years. Carmichael, Erik Ruud, regional business activities operations manager of Navy Region Northwest; Dwight Sutton, board of directors of Island Wood; and Julie Tappero, president of West Sound Workforce, were re-elected to serve until March of 2011.

“To ensure the economic growth, sustainable future, and continued quality of life in Kitsap County we have united as a community,” stated Carmichael. “As part of the Kitsap 20/20 plan we continue to focus on the critical issues of business retention and expansion, business financing and incentives, and workforce education.”
