New and old Port Orchard businesses
to host open house
On March 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. two downtown Port Orchard businesses — Custom Picture Framing and Etched in Time Photography will host an open house with refreshments provided.

Etched in Time Photography is a new business to the Bay Street community. Owner Heather Bowden focuses on bringing fine art back to family’s homes. “Every family deserves and can afford a family heirloom and that is what my business is about, bringing back the family portrait to pass down from generation to generation.”

Custom Picture Framing is celebrating 13 years in business on Bay Street. Featuring museum quality framing and art, Owner Mallory Jackson is excited to feature local artist Juvoen at the open house. Juvonen, a Port Orchard resident is a nationally recognized painter, with works in private collections including Boeing, Safeco, Microsoft, Tacoma Art Museum, Hyatt Hotels and the Washington State Arts Commission. Eight acyclic paintings are on exhibit.

Etched in Time Photography will plan a ribbon cutting later in spring to take advantage of better weather.
