Jensen announces for House against Seaquist
Long time Gig Harbor businesswoman, community and Republican activist, Marlyn Jensen has filed to run for the House of Representatives in Olympia. Mrs.. Jensen has filed for position 2, and will challenge first term incumbent Larry Seaquist.

Jensen and her husband Jim live in the Rosedale area of Gig Harbor and have been residents of Pierce County since 1969 and Gig Harbor since 1981. Republicans from all over the district have been involved in events over the years at the Jensen home and know Marlyn as “Mrs.. Republican.” Her years of active service for Republican candidates for many offices have given her a love of politics and won her a lot of friends.

Jensen was born in Great Falls Montana, raised there, educated at Montana State University and spent 13 years as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. Since moving to Piece County when she married her husband Jim, she has built her property management business from one house to many apartment buildings and single family homes. She continues to be active in the management of her rentals and has 10 employees on her payroll. The Jensens, who have been married since 1969, have four children and one grandson.

Jensen has long been active in local community issues and events and feels that the combination of political activist and business owner give her the ability to help build a better business and economic atmosphere in the State.

She has been elected to Washington State Republican Party positions over the last few years but feels serving constituents in the 26th District as a legislator in Olympia is more important.
