| Seven area Chambers of Commerce, Port Orchard, Bremerton, Silverdale, Poulsbo, Kingston, Bainbridge Island and North Mason County, have all joined together for the first annual Westsound Business Expo — Business Success on the Peninsula.
The event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 3 – 7 p.m., at the Kitsap Sun Pavilion. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature 150 booths.
Following the expo will be a free concert featuring the Joey James Dean Band from 7 – 9 p.m.
The expo will feature everything from mom and pop business to large corporations. “We are exciting for local businesses to meet each other and have a chance to showcase their products,” said John Hunter, chairperson for the Expo. “It is also exciting for seven chambers to work together at one event.”
“The boards of directors and executive directors have shown a tremendous amount of interest in making the West Sound Business Expo a huge success, stated Sylvia Klatman, executive director of the Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce. “Everyone has been enthusiastic about this service to our members and they’ve also provided good, solid ideas. They’re working hard at organizing the Expo and are now spreading the word to generate even more interest among all of our members.”
