| Stuart Walton, director of the Washington Community Alliance for Self Help (CASH) micro enterprise program in Kitsap County has announced that three local volunteer mentors have been recognized for their outstanding commitment to the program.
Honored for their service are Casey Stintzcum a retired SBA SCORE counselor who has been with the CASH program for three years. Ty Tabor, sales manager for KPS Health Plans, for three years and Bill Hoke of Small Business Marketing Partners, six years. Hoke is also on the Board of Washington CASH. These volunteers have given unselfishly and their combined service of 12 years have been of enormous benefit to our program and to our clients, said Walton.
We are actively looking for additional mentors, coaches, working professionals available to assist our entrepreneurs in their business start up and development efforts, Walton continued. We need experts we can call on for specific client needs, he added.
Washington CASH has provided business training to more than 295 local Kitsap residents in the past seven years. More than 189 new businesses have been opened and 50 micro loans totaling over $80,000 have been repaid.
