| The board of directors of the Gig Harbor Peninsula Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Warren Zimmerman has been selected as its new executive director. The selection follows a very successful application and interview process involving approximately thirty applicants. A formal announcement was made at the Chamber’s annual holiday party on Dec. 6.
Zimmerman had been the interim executive director for the Chamber following the departure of Kim D.E.D. Hails, who held the position for over five years before resigning in October. He takes over the reigns at the Chamber at a time of increasing growth in the Gig Harbor business community.
The Chamber’s selection committee was headed by Bob Draggoo, CFO for Peninsula Light and current president of the Chamber’s board of directors. The balance of the committee was made up of members of the Chamber’s executive committee, the governing body of the Chamber.
