| This years Bainbridge Island Healthy Living Expo is slated for Saturday Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Woodward Middle School, and will include a host of activities for kids and adults.
Were planning on special appearances from the Mariner Moose, Bainbridges own Lisa Lund and Friends cancer surviving Calendar Girls and lots of activities for kids, such as an obstacle course, a climbing wall, a kid safe fingerprinting program and more, said James Zindall, one of the organizers.
With an emphasis on healthy living and a theme of What You Need to Know and Where to Go!, the Expo is an interactive trade show with Exhibitors, presentations and demonstrations. Cost of a 10 x 10 exhibition space is $200 ($100 for non-profits). Early sign-ups will receive a 10 percent discount.
The Expo will include information on childrens health, pets health, healthy eating, fitness weight management, cancer prevention, as well as offering several free health screenings and an opportunity to give blood.
The Healthy Living Expo is being produced by the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce in partnership with charter sponsors Virginia Mason Winslow Clinic, Island Fitness, Island Rehabilitation Center, Zindell Acupuncture and The Bainbridge Review.
