Top reasons why workers stay
with their current employer
When 2,877 employees were surveyed recently, two out of three (62 percent) said they planned to stay with their current employers for at least the next year.

Some of the most commonly-cited reasons by respondents were a challenging work environment, a job that was compatible with their personal or family lives, and job security.

Below are the findings of the study:

Pay 25.2 percent
Challenging work 10.4 percent
Compatible with personal life 9.1 percent
Fringe benefits 7.8 percent
Job security 7.2 percent
People treat each other well 5.6 percent
Less demanding 5.3 percent
Good working environment 5.2 percent
Convenient location 3.1 percent
Control over schedule 2.9 percent
Opportunity for advancement 2.7 percent
Opportunity to gain new skills 2.2 percent
