| The Poulsbo Farmers Market announced that market manager Jackie Aitchison has accepted a position as the new administrative director for the Washington State Farmers Markets Association (WSFMA). The former Poulsbo City Council member will continue to serve as the market manager of the Poulsbo Farmers Market while taking on the day-to-day management of the association that is dedicated to supporting and growing farmers markets in Washington State.
“We are extremely pleased that Jackie has accepted the position with the Washington State Farmers Market Association as it is good for Jackie, for the Poulsbo Farmers Market, and for all of the other farmers markets in Kitsap County,” stated John Pyles, president of the Poulsbo Farmers Market Board. “With a strong commitment to the promotion of local farmers and artisans, deep understanding of how to operate a successful and growing farmers market, and fundraising skills, Jackie will be a tremendous asset to the WSFMA as she has been to the Poulsbo Farmers Market.”
