| The Seattle Foundation’s board of trustees recently approved a total of $1.2 million in grants from the C. Keith Birkenfeld Memorial Trust to area nonprofits, including $925,000 to 11 Kitsap County organizations.
Below are the 2007 grants approved for the C. Keith Birkenfeld Memorial Trust:
- Bainbridge Choral - $3,000
- Bainbridge Historical Society 30,000 Bainbridge Performing Arts - $25,000
- Bellevue Youth Symphony 5,000 Bremerton Foodline - $17,000
- Navy League of the United States - Olympic Peninsula - $100,000
- Seattle Aquarium Society - $50,000
- West Sound Wildlife Shelter - $108,000
- Hospice of Kitsap County - $175,000
- Kitsap Family YMCA - $15,000
- Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center - $250,000
- Olympic Mountain Rescue - $26,000
- Society of St. Vincent de Paul/Our Lady Star of the Sea - $400,000
- Washington Explorer Search and Rescue, Kitsap Unit - $26,000
