HDR/FishPro presents
at the Kitsap Water Festival
Becky Holloway, an environmental biologist, of the Port Orchard office of HDR/FishPro was a presenter at the Kitsap County Water Festival held recently at Olympic College. The annual festival provides concentrated, hands-on learning to over 900 local fourth graders about water resources and the associated organisms that depend upon clean water and aquatic habitats. Holloway was one of many professionals in the environmental and natural resources fields who volunteered to give an educational presentation, entitled “Eggs in the Sand” which introduced several marine animals that require sandy beaches on which to spawn or lay their eggs, including the forage fish of the Puget Sound as well as the threatened and endangered sea turtles of the world’s oceans, at the festival.
