| Capt. Paul T. Fuligni, commanding officer of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Northwest, handed over the reins to Capt. Robert D. Schlesinger in a change of command ceremony on June 15.
Fuligni, a native of Virginia, has been the commanding officer at NAVFAC Northwest since 2005. His next assignment will be as the commanding officer at NAVFAC Marianas in Guam.
Schlesinger is returning to the Pacific Northwest where he has previously served from 1999 to 2005. His assignments in Navy Region Northwest have included public works officer for Naval Submarine Base Bangor in Silverdale, and the Naval Magazine on Indian Island, with additional duties as the resident officer in charge of construction, assistant chief of staff for facilities for Navy Region Northwest, and chief of staff at Navy Region Northwest.
Since 2005, Schlesinger, has been assigned to commander, Navy Installations/CNO Ashore Readiness Division (N46) as the director for facilities and environmental programs. |
