| Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Puget Sound has purchased over $130 million in goods and services in 2006, and will likely purchase similar volumes this year. To ensure it is providing procurement opportunities to the local small business community, FISC will begin sponsoring a monthly Small Business Outreach Event at the Norm Dicks Government Center at 345 6th Street, in Bremerton.
This event will take place the first Friday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is scheduled to begin June 1. Small businesses will have the opportunity to meet with Navy representatives to discuss their products and/or services and, for the Navy to identify new sources of supplies and services from within the local small business community.
The new FISC Puget Sound, Deputy for Small Business, Lucy Leu will be readily available along with other Navy representatives, to answer questions and to network with local small businesses here in the Pacific Northwest via casual, one-on-one, discussions.
