| Kitsap County recently announced two top appointments. Nancy Buonanno Grennan, presently King Countys labor relations manager, was recently appointed as the new Kitsap County Administrator. She will replace Cris Gears, who is leaving the county to take a job running a large parks district in Minnesota.
H. F. Chip Faver, former director of Services & Recreation at Laughlin Air Force Base, has been appointed Director of Facilities, Park & Recreation.
Buonanno Grennan has over 20 years experience in human resources, labor relations and policy development. Presently, as the labor relations manager for King County, she develops and implements policy in line with overall County goals, objectives and funding parameters and oversees all labor negotiations, including working with County Officials on organizational structure, budget, staffing, strategic planning and prioritization of resources. She formerly held the position of labor relations manager for Kitsap County from 20002004.
Nancy has a demeanor that I feel will work well with citizens and staff alike. She listens and has proven she can address and solve tough issues, said Commissioner Jan Angel.
Faver, former director of services and recreation for the United States Air Force, has over 15 years of senior level parks and recreation management experience. His past responsibilities have included the development and implementation of recreation programs, development of a multi-million dollar operating budget and long range capital improvement planning and construction.
Chips energy and enthusiasm for the job will be a great asset to Kitsap County, said Commissioner Endresen. |
