“The Great Cris” aka Cris Larsen, and the Upfront Players improv group recently performed at “Laugh for Literacy,” a fundraiser for the Literacy Council of Kitsap held at the Silverdale Beach Hotel.
This event was a first for the Literacy Council and brought in a new population not previously acquainted with the Council and what it does for the community. The council surpassed its goal of raising $5,000. All proceeds go to support literacy services.
Gold table sponsors included Debbie Macomber and Kitsap Credit Union, with Kitsap Housing Coalition and West Sound Human Resource Management Association sponsoring silver tables.
