Beach House at Purdy changes name, concept
The “Beach House at Purdy,” an upscale restaurant, closed in October to undergo a major remodel and name change to turn it into a more casual place. The restaurant will be called the Margarita Beach Café.

“The Beach House had a fantastic run, but we wanted to try a concept that we can expand beyond Gig Harbor,” said Steve Naccarato, who opened restaurant along with his brother, Gordon more than four years ago. “We are already looking for the second location for Margarita Beach Cafe, somewhere between Olympia and Seattle, preferably on the water,” said Joe Hardwick, partner and CFO.

The change includes a new interior, landscaping, expanded outdoor beach area, an outdoor bar and cooking area and a new menu. According to a press release, the restaurant had good response to its beach parties this past summer and they “started thinking maybe we should start serving beach parties year-round.”

The restaurant will serve “vacation food.” “You know — the kind of food you want to eat when you are on vacation. Fun, delicious and unpretentious,” said Naccarato, who is the restaurant’s chef.

The bar will feature a limitless number of tequilas, signature margaritas, exotic rums, plus frozen daiquiris, Mexican and draft beers, and food.
